New Work Wizard

Start a customer, project, and estimate in one guided flow.

New Work Wizard

The New Work Wizard (top of the sidebar) is the fastest way to start a new job. It creates a customer, a project, and an estimate from a single page so you don't have to jump between three different screens to bring on a new client.

The page has three stacked sections:

  1. Customer: Pick an existing customer from the dropdown, or expand + Add New Customer to enter company/account name, contact name, phone, and email. A More toggle reveals a second phone/email, full billing address, and notes.
  2. Project: Pick an existing project for that customer, or expand + Add New Project to enter a project name and a job address (with Google address autocomplete and optional latitude/longitude).
  3. Estimate Details (optional): Give the estimate a title.

The submit button adapts to what you've filled in, Build Estimate, Save Project, or Save Customer. On submit, the wizard creates everything you entered, links it together, and takes you straight to the new estimate's detail page (or the customer page if you didn't start an estimate). You can also deep-link into the wizard pre-filled for an existing customer or job.
